ROMAN TRADITIONAL LIME & TERRACOTTA FINISH

Cocciopesto

Cocciopesto

COCCIOPESTO is a traditional plaster finish rooted in ancient Roman architecture, made from a carefully blended mix of slaked lime, finely ground terracotta (crushed bricks or tiles), natural pozzolans, and mineral aggregates. Renowned for its excellent durability and natural antibacterial properties, COCCIOPESTO is ideal for both interior and exterior applications, especially where strength, breathability, and a warm, rustic aesthetic are desired. Its composition ensures superior resistance to moisture and microbial growth, making it especially suited for wet environments such as bathrooms, spas, and kitchens. The finish is slightly textured, with a matte to satin appearance, and characterized by warm earthy tones that evoke its terracotta origins. COCCIOPESTO is typically supplied in its natural reddish or earthy hue, but it can be tinted with alkali-resistant pigments to achieve a range of complementary shades. It remains stable over time, maintaining both its visual appeal and the breathability of the substrate.

Elegant decorative stencil design with swirls and a central pink and blue pattern, ideal for lime-based paintings.
