METAL WAX is based on genuine bee’s wax, Marseille’s soap, emollients and extra fine metallic powder. It is available in 4 different colors: GOLD, SILVER (tintable), COPPER and BRONZE. METAL WAX is suitable as a topcoat of internal surfaces.

Decora Metal Wax is a water-based decorative topcoat formulated with genuine beeswax, Marseille soap, emollients, and ultra-fine metallic powders. It is designed to enhance smooth lime-based finishes such as Venetian plasters and Marmorino of all grain sizes, providing a pearlescent metallic sheen. Available in four colors—Oro (Gold), Argento (Silver, tintable), Rame (Copper), and Bronzo (Bronze)—it is suitable for interior applications.

How should Decora Metal Wax be applied for optimal results?

For best results, wait 48 hours after applying the lime-based finish. Apply one coat of Decora Metal Wax using a soft sponge in circular motions over small areas (approximately 1 m²) until the surface no longer absorbs the product. Remove any excess, and after about 30 minutes (or less if the temperature exceeds 30°C), polish the surface with a clean non-woven fabric cloth or a mechanical polisher.

What is the coverage rate of Decora Metal Wax?

The theoretical yield of Decora Metal Wax is approximately 20–25 m² (215–270 ft²) per 1 kg (2.2 lb) when applied to a smooth plaster surface.

Decora Metal Wax contains calcium hydroxide and is classified as hazardous under EC Regulation 1272/2008. It can cause serious eye damage, skin irritation, and may cause respiratory irritation. Users should wear protective gloves, eye protection, and face protection. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and store the product in a well-ventilated place, keeping the container tightly closed.

How should Decora Metal Wax be stored?

Decora Metal Wax should be stored in its original container, sealed, in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. The storage temperature should be between +5°C and +30°C. Keep the product from freezing. Under these conditions, it maintains its properties for 12 months.
